Images of Bangor and Area VI: : Historic Homes and Residential Architecture

What does the architecture of Bangor and area homes tell us about the people who once lived here? The majority of the homes in this collection from the village of Bangor and surrounding farm communities are stilll standing. Almost half of the images are part of a collection of slides originally created by Janet Amman, former art teacher from Bangor Elementary School. Her purpose was to preserve images of Bangor and area residential architecture as they appeared in the early 1980's. We deeply appreciate Janet Amman's dedicated work. Some of the buildings, such as the first Lutheran parsonage, the Bramschreiber brick farm home in Burns Valley and the Bradley home, represent some of the oldest human structures in the community.
